- Every track in Forza Motorsport has been built from the ground up for this generation.
- The accuracy of our overhauled physics, the beauty of our cars and tracks, our new dynamic time of day, advanced car damage, and real time ray tracing on track lead to a generational leap in immersion. This is the all-new Forza Motorsport.
Today at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase we got under the hood and shared what we have been working on: Forza Motorsport’s next generation. This will allow you to experience the thrill of racing like never before.
Fan Favorites Return Alongside New Locales
We captured the footage in-game and unveiled a brand new trailer. It showcases Maple Valley, a fan-favorite track that was introduced in the very first Forza Motorsport game in 2005.
Our trailer showed Maple Valley and the return of fan-favorite circuits Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, as well as Laguna Seca Raceway. We also introduced Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, which is making its Forza Motorsport debut. The all-new Circuit Hakone, set in Japan, is a unique, high-speed Grand Prix circuit designed to show the technical advanced, state-of-the-art immersion of the new Forza Motorsport.
Designed for Immersion and More Dynamic than Ever
S consoles. Our overhauled physics, the beauty and speed of our tracks, advanced car damage and real-time ray tracing on the track have all contributed to an unprecedented level of immersion. The Forza Motorsport is the most technologically advanced racing game ever created.
Forza Motors‘s fully dynamic time-of-day system is fundamental. It brings tracks to life with stunning detail and similar weather. Temperatures are affected by changes in the time of day. Track temperature changes can affect your car’s grip, rubbering in, and weather. These simulation details bring more drama and dynamics to your racing experience.\
To take full advantage of the Xbox Series consoles’ power, we have completely redesigned the driving experience. This includes an improvement of 48 percent in the fidelity and quality of our physics simulation. We have added new features such as tire and fuel management, multiple tire compound options, and in-depth car construction to make racing fun. All this is brought to life in the trackside pits where advanced materials, shaders and ray tracing combine to bring out amazing detail in the anodized aluminum, carbon fiber, and gold heat wrap. Engine bays are a great place to use ray tracing because of their intricate self-reflection.
Show off Your Battle Damage
Forza Motorsport shows car damage down to the individual scratches. New simulation details are available in the directionality and how paint peels off at raised and exposed edges, as well as dirt buildup. The Forza Motorsport has captured car damage as a racing reality.
We are excited to share more information about Forza Motorsport soon! You can catch me on Forza Monthly, Thursday, June 16, at 8:59 PM, on our Twitch, and YouTube channels, where I will show you the trailer.

Editor’s note (June 14th): We incorrectly stated the Forza Motorsport demo had been captured in-game on Xbox Series X. The demo was recorded in-game on PC and then tested on Xbox Series X to ensure the same visual quality. This has been corrected in the article.
